The district's calling card for art lovers is Alserkal Avenue — a complex of warehouses, galleries, and creative facilities. The place attracts local and foreign artists. Regular cultural shows, including those of world-scale, are held here.
Al Quoz Dubai is a large industrial community in the western part of the city. The district is located near Al Khail Road and Sheikh Zayed Road highways. Public transport system is well-established throughout the district. Buses operate regularly. The metro runs along the main Sheikh Zayed Road highway. From here you can travel and conduct business via Umm Al Sheif Metro Station Al Quoz and Al Safa Metro Station.
Leading schools in the district: Dubai International School, Clarion School, and GEMS Our Own Indian School. Among kindergartens, Chubby Cheeks Nursery, Kids Academy Al Quoz, and Blue Bird Nursery have established good reputations. The community area even has a university — Jumeira University.
In Al Quoz 2, there's Al Quoz Pond Park for family recreation. A pond, a well-maintained children's playground, running tracks, and open lawns — tranquillity and urban life harmoniously coexist here. For winter sports enthusiasts, there's an indoor ski slope nearby in the Al Barsha complex at Mall of the Emirates.

Al Quoz is a quiet district, but there are plenty of activities and good opportunities for recreation. Good shops and restaurants are within immediate access.

For variety in recreation, head to Mall of the Emirates. It's located in the nearby Al Barsha complex. Here you'll find numerous retail outlets, including luxury shops, cafés, and restaurants, as well as activities for children and adults. For winter sports enthusiasts, there's the Ski Dubai complex. You'll find an amusement park and arcade machines in Magic Planet. Films are shown at VOX Cinemas, where IMAX laser projectors are installed.
In the Al Quoz district, you can arrange a gastronomic tour. About 200 cafés and restaurants mostly represent Indian, Pakistani, and Arabic cuisines. Popular tourist establishments include: Sabir Afghan, Royal Darbar, Madras Kitchen — Al Khail Gate, Towlat Al Hanna, Chennai Darbar, Raju Omlet, Shehar-e-Karachi. Some of them have cafeterias inside: Nizar, Tom & Serg, Lime Tree, Soho.
For those interested in nightlife, The Red Lion is an 11-minute walk away (Metropolitan Hotel, on Sheikh Zayed Road).
The nearest beach can be reached by car. Kite Beach is a 12-minute drive away. Here you can enjoy your time: sunbathe on the sandy beach, enjoy delicious meals at beachfront restaurants, or play with your children on playgrounds and slides. Moreover, there are bars and even a gym on the coast. Popular restaurants among tourists and locals include: 25/55 Burgers, La Vedette Café, Taste of Brazil, Vicki da Dhaba.
Al Quoz district features Alserkal Avenue — one of the most famous art and design centres in western Dubai. The place attracts all art enthusiasts. Regular exhibitions are held here, featuring not only UAE artists and fashion designers but also world celebrities.
For art entrepreneurs, the state provides subsidies and applies different tax base calculations. Also in Al Quoz, there's Cinema Akil, which shows both domestic and foreign releases.
For history lovers, Al Quoz also has attractions worth seeing. A historic building, constructed in 1955 as the residence of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, is now called Majlis Ghorfat Umm Al Sheif. If possible, visit this site and immerse yourself in the past, in the sheikh's lifestyle ambiance.
Dubai's first experimental games museum will be interesting for both children and adults. It houses the first games that children played. Among the exhibits, you can see a climbing net, a water cannon and others. There's a café on the museum grounds.
Some beauty salons in Al Quoz offer total look services (Oro Rosa for women; Alsayah and Golden Star for men) and head-to-toe services (Oasis Village and Better Gents).
Usually, no significant events are held in the Al Quoz district. However, you can always visit the neighbouring Al Khail Gate district, which hosts a market every first Friday of the month. It's a carnival-type event focusing on children. Kids participate in contests and games. Adults can also join the celebration and take part in competitions.
